Gator Extruded, terracotta underglazed and glazed
Starting with a simple shape, the goal was to extrude that form to create a pot. My shape was inspired by my Monolith piece, a vaguely gator form. It has a hole in the back for a bouquet of flowers, and two holes for nostrils that can hold individual flowers. The color scheme was inspired by bold primary color schemes you’d see in children’s toys or products.

Pinch Pot Handbuilt Bowls, terracotta bisque fired
This project was to create an animal form, so I chose a seal. The figure was shaped, then hollowed out. He was bisque fired, then glazed, which was sprayed on.
